Hancock board approves plans for five subdivisions

The Hancock County Board of Supervisors Monday approved final plans for four subdivision developments in Hancock County and approved the preliminary plans for a fifth.
John Scafide, attorney for the County Planning Commission, presented the board with plans which he said have been approved by the commission.
The board first approved an 18 unit High Point Town Houses subdivision located near the Diamondhead Country
Club on a lot which Scafide said is 'very small.’
He said water and sewer has already been connected to the devolopment and that street paving should begin soon. Purcell Company is the project owner.
Also, prelimary plans for phase-two of the High Point Town Houses project to build 45 additional units adjoining the 18 unit townhouse development were approved by the board. Sacfide said the entire development will be constructed on a ‘four or five’ acre lot.
Final plans for a Galarza Square subdivison were also approved by the board. Scafide said the subdivision will be located on the corner of I,ower Bay Road and US-90 west of Waveland on a two acre plot which will be developed by Ronald and Judy Galarza. Construction of five lots are included in the plan. Construction of water and sewer systems will not be included.
Scafide said tests have shown ‘satisfactory perculation rates.’ And SUBDIVISIONS—Page 2A
