Bay St. Louis, Mississippi 39520 Dear Mr. Haas:
Mr. Bob Bailey, Director of the Division of Historic Sites and Archaeology of this Department, has asked that I present a talk to the Hancock County Historical Society on August 28, 1975.
I have a talk prepared on my favorite subject "The Private Soldier of the Civil War" which I feel is of equal interest to both ladies and men. It presents the humor, as well as the tragedy of soldiering. It is not too deep for any Civil War buff. I also have a few more if you so choose, such as:	"Religion	and	the	Civil
War" (too boring), lrWhere Johnny Reb got his Musket" (very technical for the ladies), and "The Mississippi College Rifles, Co. E, 18th Miss. Infantry Regiment" (too far removed from the coast).
Of course, I will do limited research on the action around the Bay St. Louis area and talk a little about this beforehand.
Please let me know of the exact date, time, place and preference of subject that will be acceptable for your organization.
Sincerely yours,
Bill Wright Historian
