Board of Supervisors Hancock County Court House
Main Street
Bay St. Louis, Mississippi Dear Gentlemen:
Hancock County in the 1980's can i>e a decade of great davelopement* Today we cone here to ask this Board of Supervisors to plan by careful examination everything vie do now. Economic developements can be accomplished with a concern for the future based on a clear set of goals which will preserve our resources.
The United States House of Representative has this year appropriated h2»r' million for historic preservation to be allocated in i9SI. There are programs Hancock County can and should take advantage of to insure the preservation in tie County.

New programs could be planned with better efficiency and objectives with less delays and economic loss or waste.
We therefore ask this '?oard to request a Architectural/Historical Survey of Hancock County. The Kiln Fenton and ^earlinpton districts in particular should be apnlied for at this time, and other areas of the county targeted for developement.
Pleaoe find attached the antiquities Act of 1970, which should be adhered in all cases of improvements or expansion in Hancock County.
Respectfully submitted by:
21st July 1900 Board of Supervisors Budget Meeting
