She also holds a bachelor of arts degree in library and information science with a minor in English. She served as a graduate intern for the Gates Center for Technology Access, training librarians in hardware and software troubleshooting for the computers donated to public libraries across the country by Bill and Melinda Gates.
Ladner has been with the Hancock County Library System since 1988, when she became manager of the present Kiln Library.
She will be responsible for day-to-day operations of all library and information services at the new Kiln Public Library.
The Kiln Public Library will be open Mondays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Support and centralized services will be provided by the headquarters staff in Bay St. Louis.
