Dedication ceremonies for the new City-County Library, 812 U.S. 90, Bay St. Louis, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, June 27.
Public tours of the library are scheduled from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. Sunday. j The $300,000 facility will house the library’s approximately 37,000-volume collection which includes some 400 rare books. It has a separate rare book room and a meeting room with a seating capacity of 60.
Funding for the new building has been fur-_-nished by the Hancock j County Board of Supervi- , sors, the Bay St. Louis City ' Council, private donations v and the Library Services 'r and Construction Act of » 1974 through the Missis-sippi Library Commission.
The concrete block and stucco building which is “v contemporary in style,-, was designed by Bay St.,^ Louis architect Fred Wag-ner. Contractor was George P. Hopkins Jr., Gulfport.	—
