COAST BUYER'S GUIDE
ISt^reids visits "Paree" at 12th annual Bal Masqm
"Ooh, La La. Paree” was the theme of the 1 2th Annual Ball Masque of the Krewe of Nereids January 14 at St. Jospeh Memorial Hall.
Reigning over the festivities were Queen Doris XII, whose identity is never revealed, and her consort. His Royal Majesty King Clifford P. Vogt.
Dukes to his majesty were: Donald A. Caserta, William Bourgeois Jr., Gerald C. Gex, Donald M. Favre, G Lynn McGhee and Larry E. Breland.
Trainbearers to Queen Doris were Misses Kristv Lee Kidd. Jodi Wallis Triche, Emmily Elizabeth Davenport, and Master Christopher Jarrod Artigues
Miss Kidd is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond E. Kidd, Jr.; Miss Triche is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Alvin Triche, Jr.; Miss Davenport is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles K. Davenport; Master Artigues is the son of Mr and Mrs. Ronald J. Artigues.
Vogt is a resident of Waveland and a New Orleans businessman.
Joseph V. Colson served as general chairman for the ball, with David L. Johnson, A. Burton Barrett and Arthur J. Chapman III serving as vice chairman.
The Court committee was led by Merlin Markel as chairman, and members James DeBlanc, Lucien Gex, Jr., James Travirca, Haskell Doyle, John Gallagher andT. Dixon Ashman.
