Afraid of Yellow Fever
Bo far the health of Handsboro has been very good, though at present the people are suffering from an ailment denominated "the yellow fever scare." Well, who can blame them ? No one relished the idea of being borne to"the Garden of the Slumberers," albeit it may blossom green and fragrant as the parterres of Shiraz or the bowers of poetic Stamboul.
Good Place to Tlve
This is a lovely place in summer, and in autumn, too—a very Suristan, and I opine, when the great New Orleans, Mobile and Chattanooga Railroad shall be completed, it will be chosen as the site for the residences of a great many of your talented and opulent citizens.	,
This is a desirable place for such as wish social enjoyment and the society of the fair sex. Of the latter, it has many of the fairest specimens in the State of Kississippi or the South.
_ _ _ _ "Their angel breasts Ne’er feel the pang of guilty sting —
Their bosoms are the sweetest nests,
Where Cupid could repose his wing."
