ORDINANCE NO. 1/.1
AN ORDINANCE DISTRIBUTING EXECUTIVE AND ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES AND POWERS OF THE COMMISSION COUNCIL INTO-DEPARTMENTS. DEFINING jittD DESIGNATING CONTROL THEREOF.
Section 1. BE IT ORDAINED by the Coraraission Council of the City of bay Saint Louis, Hancock County, Mississippi, that the Departments of Government of the said City of Bay Saint Louis, be and they are hereby distributed and divided into three (3^ Departments, as follows, to-wit:
Departmentl, MAYOR - John A. Scafide, Police Justice and Superintendent of Streets, Public Highways, City Hall, Lights & Telephone “ Fire Department.
Department 2. COMMISSIONER OF FINANCE:	Warren	^. Traub - Tax Collector, Water Rent Collector,
Gas Collector, Assessor, Collector of Pound Fees, and all Miscellaneous collections and Superintendent of Cemeteries.
Department 3. COMMISSIONER OF PUBLIC UTILITIES:	J.	Cyril	Glover,	yice-President	of	the	Commission

Council and^City Cleric, Public Utilities ConKiissioner, Superintendent of Sanitation, Sehoole-, Water
Works Superintendent, Natural Gas Superintendent and Natural Gas Inspector.
Section 2. That the Superintendent of each of the Departments shall be selected by a vote of the Commission Council.
Section 3. That all Ordinances, insofar as the same are inconsistent herewith shall be and they are hereby repealed.
Section A. Public necessity demanding, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
The above and foregoing	having been first reduced to writing was	read and	considered	section	by
section and then as a whole,	and upon motion, duly	seconded,	was read	andconsidered	section	by	section
and then as a whole by the following vote, to-wit:
Those voting Yea:	John	A. Scafide, Warren E.	Traub and	J. Cyril	Glover.
Those voting Nay:	None.
