Dear Mayor Bennett:
Now that the two surveyors have been hired for the summer architectural survey of Bay St. Louis, it will be necessary to find a place for them to stay. Any citizens who could provide apartments or rooms for two young men would be doing a great service for the city. The value of this donated service could be used as a partial match for the city's share of funds, thereby saving Bay St. Louis an actual cash outlay. The money saved could be put toward the final publication. Would some place like St. Stanislaus or the Seminary be able to provide rooms for them, perhaps
Another necessary space is an office-space for them to keep their forms and do their paperwork. An ideal location would be at a library or any place where his-storical resources are located.
Since oneof the surveyors is an excellent photographer and will be printing some of the contact sheets, it will be necessary to locate either an already existing darkroom space or a space which could be used to set up a darkroom.
I would like to have the surveyors start work on June 4. Your help in the above matters will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely
Adele Cramer
