Dear Property Owner:
Your building may be nominated to the NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES and within a Bay St. Louis historic district. You are invited to attend a program on February 14, 1979, St. Augustine Gymnasium at 7:30 P. M.
Adele Cramer Architectural/Historian of the Department of Archives and History, Jackson, Mississippi, will conduct a commentary slide-film program of buildings in Bay St. Louis which represent a sense of integrity, design, workmanship, and a feeling of association. Buildings which are eligible for the district will be nominated to the NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES, under direction of the Secretary of Interior Standards for Historic Preservation Washington D. C.
Approval of a National Register Historic District qualifies owners to take advantage of 50/50 matching funds and tax deductions for the Stabilization, Preservation, Protection, Rehabilitation and Restoration of their buildings and/or properties.
To be an informed resident we encourage you to attend this program. A historic district in Bay St. Louis will preserve the architectural/historical and cultural history of local and statewide importance.
