THE ARKANf ARCHEOLOGICAL SOCIETY was
formed in 1960 W draw together all those interested in the prehistory and early history of Arkansas. The Society publishes a newsletter and an annual bulletin, holds two statewide meetings a year, and has chapters in various parts of the state that hold monthly meetings. The Society and the Arkansas Archeological Survey cooperate so that all Society menbers may participate in archeological research. A Certification Program is also available which provides programed experience in field survey, excavation, and laboratory work, and offers seminars.
