Mrs. Joe Williams Pi let
Post Office Box 230
Bay St. Louis, Mississippi 39520
Dear Joe:
This is to acknowledge receipt of your letter of January 31st, for which I thank you.
I have today secured from the Department of Archives and History information pertaining to the newspapers in Hancock County, a copy of which is enclosed.
You will note that the Gulf Coast Progress was established in 1884 and the Sea Coast Echo was established in 1892 (See Vol. 2, Mississippiana).
I am also	enclosing a copy	of the Archives	and
History Department's	letter to me wherein they	stated	they
were unable to find any reference to the publications Hawk and Coast Buyer's Guide.
It is our hope that we will be able to begin distribution of the 1976-80 Mississippi Official and Statistical Register	around the first	of June.
I am glad	to know that you	recently	visited the
Pearl River Junior College Campus, and while at Poplarville, visited many of your friends.
With best wishes, I am
HL:is
Enclosure
Secretary of State
