The Doll House has many extras that will make your visit something to remember. Be sure to see the train, which runs all the time; the carousel; and “Doc”, a doll which was patterned after a real person, a pharmacist in Arkansas.
When you are visiting The Doll House with your children, you won’t have to worry with telling them “Don’t Touch”, because Mrs.
Blossman has set aside a very special corner of The Doll House just for the children. It’s called The Petting Zoo, and its filled with stuffed animals that the children can hold and play with. But, they must remember to “love ’em and leave ’em”.
Mrs. Blossman has a great love for animals. And, it is for this reason that donations are accepted as admittance to The Doll House. All donations benefit the Pet Shelter, operated under the auspices of the YMCA.
The Pet Shelter was established to give unwanted puppies and kittens proper care, food, and medical attention until they can be placed in homes. Some of these animals will be taken to area nursing homes to help brighten the lives of the individuals living there.
The Doll House is located on Highway 90 in Ocean Springs, next door to Trilby’s, one of the Gulf Coast’s finest restaurants. Tours are available from 1:00-6:00 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.
