ELEVATION, SOIL CONDITIONS
The average elevation of Port Bienville is 14 feet above sea level, and some parts are 25 feet. Hurricane Camille, the worst hurricane recorded to hit the U.S. mainland, did not have waters over 9. 3 feet above mean sea level. Approximately 75 per cent of the land area of Port Bienville Industrial Park has elevations above 9.3 MSL.
Most of the industrial park lies on sand, and slab construction can be used, even for high static loads and loads that involve impact or vibration. The results of boring tests are available for typical sites.
