He never said he was sorry (showed weakness). He never said, "I love you" to any of his sons until we made him say it just a few weeks before he died (didn't want to make sissies out of them). But, really he never had to say it. He showed it much better. He loved his daughters, Mary and Betsy, dearly. He loved his daughters-in-law. He loved all of our family reunions. He loved all his nieces and nephews as his own. He loved his sons-in-law -although he blistered their ears at times. But, most of all he loved Mama. And my last comment to him is "Papa you did a damn good job", "Mama you too."
