5.	We had Bertrand Bourdages' son as Jean Francois "Cadet" Bourdages, born on September 6, 1822, and died on January 14,1871. We now know he never married, nor did he have any children. We also know he had an older brother, Pierre Joseph Bourdages, born on December 23,1820, and died at age 14 on December 12,1834, in Aulon.
6.	Jean Francois "John" Bourdages, born on June 28,1825, in Aulon has been located coming to America for the first time. On December 8,1845, he is listed on the ship "Creole" arriving at the Port of New Orleans, LA. He was using his middle name of "Francois Bordages", age 20 (1825), native of France, and leaving from the Port of Bordeaux, France. Keep in mind, he had an older brother that had his exact same name which may have caused him to use his middle name early in life to keep the two from being confused. After he arrived in the US, he began using his first name Jean / John. Additional information supplied by one of his descendants, Harry Ward of Hattiesburg, MS, is found in an announcement in the official minutes for the City of Bay St. Louis, MS, dated April 24,1878, published shortly after the death of this John Bordages. The record recognizes John for his work as City Treasure and states that John came to America about age 20 and was born in France about 53 years ago - both indicating he was born in 1825.
7.	Andrezine Bourdages, on page 15, shows on her birth record that her given name was "Endreline."
8.	Jean Marie Bourdages on page 23 was listed as born on August 6,1837, in Aulon as found in Maurice Bourdages' letter. His actual date of birth is August 5,1837, and died in Aulon on February 10, 1838.
9.	Jean Bertrand Bourdages is listed on page 23 as died on January 13,1884, in Aulon at age 45 and was not married. His birth certificate says he was born on January 22,1839.
10.	Bernarde Amilhat was born on August 5,1798, as found on her civil marriage record in France as stated in our research, page 2. Since then, Mrs. Soubrier, found her birth certificate in Aurignac and it says she was born on August 4,1798, in Peyrouzet, France, daughter of Jean Francois Amilhat and Vincente Barrau. We will use this August 4th date for Bernarde's date of birth because we feel it is more accurate.
11.	Bernarde Amilhat Bourdages died on June 11,1876, at Aulon, as found on her death certificate.
She was the widow of Bertrand Bourdages, and never remarried. This record found by Mrs. Soubrier.
12.	The parents of our Joseph Bourdages that came to the US were Jean "Bertrand" Bourdages and Bernarde Amailhat. Some researchers in France (Geneanet.org) report that Bertrand was first married to Bertrande Fabaron on May 26,1817, in Aulon, and later he married on February 9,1820, to Bernarde Amilhat. Sabine Soubrier researched all the records in and around Aulon, France, and found no record of this marriage to Bertrande Fabaron, no divorce from her, no death, nor any children born to that union. Her conclusion, and mine, is that this information is incorrect. Thus, we will only show one marriage for our Bertrand Bourdages.
13.	Jean Francois Amilhat and Vincente Barrau married in Peyrouzet (Parish), France on August 27,
1776. Jean Francois Amilhat's parents listed are Andre Amilhat (born 1719 and died on December 29, 1787, at Peyrouzet) and Magdelaine Arcizac of the same parish. The marriage record also names Vincente Barrau's parents as Bertrand Barrau and Jeanne Lacombe.
