When I went back to my job I wrote my final story which was about the academy. Two weeks later when I arrived at the academy the place was a beehive of activity. When Dan arrived he greeted us and then pointed out that every person who attended the first briefing had signed on to become a partner.
The education plan for the professionals had been com-pleated and they had spent the last week testing the computers and adding to the database. The next two weeks flew by and our training was excellent.
The next Monday we got our final briefing. Dan pointed out that since the first email arrived we had received ten thousand questions. The part time workers were analyzing these and some had been forwarded to the professional staff. The temps had answered 40%.
Surprisingly many just wanted my opinion on something. Apparently they had read the article I had published.
At the first board meeting at the end of the year Dan announced we had met our first objectives ten times over and he would be resigning immediately.
After the new officers were elected I decided to go with Dan and help others with his new company. It was the best day of my life, all from a simple CUB REPORTER.
