Dabney Carr, 1777-1862, was born at Carrsbrook Plantation. His father, Thomas Carr, gave him the Aspin Hill Plantation. Aspin Hill is located in North Garden, at the foot of Israel's Gap, Albemarle County, Virginia.

William Harris, b.----- d.1788, was one of the early and leading
citizens of Albemarle County, Virginia. His wife was Mary Nether-land, and his children were, matthew, Sara, the wife of a Mr. Moseby, Elizabeth the wife of John Diggs, Catharine the wife of Mr. Stegar, John, William, Mary the wife of Mr. Woodfolk, Benjamin Ann the wife of Hawes Coleman, Judith the wife of George Coleman. From this stem has sprung a greater number of families than any other in Albemarle County. Sara Harris Moseby was the grandmother of Alfred Moseby, the father of Colonel John S. Moseby of Confederate Fame.
