and that her middle name was spelled “Alvina”. She died March 28, 1973 and is buried in Waveland Cemetery. For complete information on descendants of Cecile, see the children of Walter Francis “Jimmy” Turcotte, on page 12 & 13 of this Joseph “Pepe” Carrio History.
III.	Francois “Frank” Carrio, HI - married Marguerite “Maggie” Ross and lived in Slidell, LA. His headstone in the Greenwood Cemetery in Slidell has him as “Frank P. Carrio”, born October 1,
1863,	and died on May 19, 1926. Maggie is buried next to Frank with a headstone that reads 1872 - 1948. The 1910 Slidell census shows that he was born in 1854, and she was born in
1864.	He had one son called Lawrence that never married. The 1910 census of Slidell also shows Lawrence and a sister, Thelma age 10 and both children are listed with the last name of “Ross”. We suspect that Thelma was by Maggie’s previous marriage and Lawrence was actually Frank’s child. The U.S. Social Security records show Lawrence Carrio was bom on October 16, 1908 and died in January 1979.
IV.	Female Carrio - died as a child.
This paper was initially typed in June 1976. Since then, we have collected additional information on this family that is now being included in this second rendition. You may have noticed that we have not given complete citations for every piece of information, especially census records. The reason simply being, it would have taken much longer to complete this history. There is enough information here that any “rookie” genealogist can find the specific source if they make even a half-hearted effort.
If anyone thinks this report is “perfect” they will be disappointed. This type of research is much too complex. Much of the above information was supplied by close family members and was often done from “memory.” Because of this there are possibly some mistakes, especially with those bom around 1900 and later. This is not to mention possible typing errors and mistakes we found in some of the many sources used. Can someone do better than what we have presented - of course, and we welcome anyone who is willing to help. If you find an error, it was most likely one of your own relatives who gave it to us. Rest assured, 99.9 % of the information in this paper is accurate!
In our forty years of researching this family, we have collected many documents to support the information in this paper. We did not find this information on the internet! We used original sources such as bible records, census records, church records, etc. We also have many photos of the people named in this report, especially the first through the third generation bom in the United States.
