In 1935 he was elected Sherriff and Tax Collector of Hancock Countyf Mr. Cue bought property all over Hancock County, He had a large farm near Bay St. Louis on which he raised horses. He managed the Cue Oil Co. f hxx^xjck^kxx which was the distributorship for Shell Oil, some 35 years .^His bid for the petroleum products used for the county reads:	.250 for regular gas; 27.5 0 per gal for pBemium and
.150 for deisel fuel #2jwith tax included. His bid at this time was lower than Standard Oil of Jackson.^
He was a business and political leader in this county, being a member of the Chamber of Commerce, The Bay-Waveland Yacht Club, and St. Stanisla^u Sideline Club. ^
He, his father, mother, and sister Rita (Cue Johnson) are buried in Bayou Coco. V?
