4A-THE SEA COAST ECHO-SUNDAY, DECEMBER 13, 1987
t .
Mr. John Damborino
On Friday former owner and publisher of The Hancock County Eagle newspaper, Mr. John L. Damborino was laid to rest in Bay St. Louis.
Mr. John was associated with The Sea Coast Echo as a youth while still in school and for many years later before starting his own newspaper in Bay St. Louis in 1949.
After selling The Hancock County Eagle to The Sea Coast Echo in 1967, he again returned to work with the Echo for a period before moving to a job printing shop in Mississippi City.
Printer?s ink had to be in his blood as he worked in the profession for over 65 years.
I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Mr. Damborino at the Echo and also together with him on some projects when he had his own newspaper.	*
He was a fine outstanding citizen who performed whatever task at hand to the best of his ability, never letting up or giving in, always reaching for that little something extra.
His goal was always to produce, whether it be a newspaper or letterhead, to perfection.
To his wife, children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren, Mr. John will always be remembered by us as the great person he really was.
