OBITUARY
DORN- On Monday August 18,1930 at 11:14a.m., CHRISTIAN DORN, at his daughter's home in Poydras, St. Bernard Parish, La., of Chronic Myocarditis & Bronchiectasis, [1]. Survived by three daughters, MRS. HENRY STILLER, MRS. WILLIAM JOHNSON, MRS. JOHN SCHWARTZ and two sons, JOSEPH L. DORN and ALPHONSE D. DORN: aged 59 years, 11 months and 21 days, a native of New Orleans, La.
The relatives, friends and aquaintances of family also officers and members of the Cedar Grove Camp No. 507 W.O.W. are respectifully invited to attend the funeral which takes place Tuesday, August 19, 1930 from the Louisville and Nashville depot at 11:00 a.m. The remains will be at funeral home of E. J. Ramsom & Sons, 1024 Elysian Fields Avenue between St. Claude and Rampart.
Interment at Bay St. Louis cemetery.

Christian married (1) Lelia Annie Walters, daughter of Theodore Walters and Nancy Caroline Sandifer. Lelia was bom on 14 Jul 1872. She died on 24 Oct 1904 and was buried in Santa Rosa Church Cem., Bay St. Louis, Ms..
Lelia Annie died after her last child, Mable Annie was bom, 12 Sep 1904.
Cause: All of the afterbirth was not removed.
Her headstone reads as follows, Beloved wife of Christian Dorn -15 July 1874/24 October 1904 - Gone but not forgotten.

Christian and Lelia had the following children:
Gertrude Margaret Dorn was bom on 9 Jan 1896 and died on 5 Mar 1974.
Joseph Leonard, Sr. Dorn was bom on 27 Mar 1897 and died on 7 Apr 1973. Catherine Margaret Dorn was bom on 4 Dec 1898 and died on 17 Nov 1937. Alphonse Daniel, Sr. Dorn was bom on 11 Aug 1902 and died on 12 Mar 1985. Mable Annie Dorn was bom on 12 Sep 1904 and died on 6 Dec 1997.
