Edward Frye 6 22 1872?4 28 1957
Charles born 1873 -m- Evalina Rouse in Geo. County in 1896.
Katy born 1877.
There was one more Frye listed her name was Elizabeth. She was listed living with W.W. Walley in 1880. She was born in GA in 1809.
Daniel Frye lived to be 83 years old. He died in Lucedale,
MS on Oct. 29 1919 and is buried in George County.
His brother Isaac Frye also lived to be 83. He	died on	Sept.
22 1924 and is also buried in George County.
I first picked up Charles Frye on the tax rolls of Greene
County in 1827. Taxable Items; Land & town lots, Merchandise
Sales, Bank Stock, Money loned at interest, Pleasure Carriages,
White Polls, Free colored & slaves.
A statement was made at the end of the 1827 tax	roll	by	the
tax collector that read; Some people "Squatted"	on	land	to	avoid
paying taxes. This must have applied to Charles Frye. As
records indicate in 1827 and 1828 he paid 1 White Poll tax of
50 cents each year. 1829 no data, 1830 & 31 he paid 37^ cents
Poll Tax. 1832 no data, in 1833 he paid 37^ cents Poll Tax.
On the 1840 Census of Greene County MS Charles H. Fry appeared
as follows;
Males: 3(under 5) 1(5-10) 1(20-30) 1(50-60)
Females: 3(under 5) 1(5-10) 2(20-30)
Charles was 52 in 1840 and Winnie was 30. That would account
for 1 male 50-60 and 1 female 20-30 but there were two females
20-30 and 1 male 20-30. Since Charles was 22 years older than
Winnie, I assume there were two children from a previous marriage
