Rites Held
Gaston G. Gardebled, a New Orleans businessman, died early Tuesday morning at the age of 79.
Services were conducted Tuesday night the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home Chapel followed by interment in 1 Lake Lawn Park .
Mr. Gardebled was the owner of the Chris Larsen Compa-ny, a general con-	:
tracting firm which built many prominent buildings in New Orleans.
A native of Bay St.
Louis, Miss., Mr.
Gardebled took over the Chris Larsen Company on the death of his father- gardebled in-law. The company was general contractor for the Union Passenger Teminal in New Orleans.
In 1968 Mr. Gardebled was promoted to senior vice president and building expert of the Fidelity Homestead Association, a position he held until his ? death.	u ) ;	i
Mr. Gardebled is survived by his wife, Ethel Smith Gardebled; four daughters, Mrs. Helen June Westerhof, Mrs. Dorthy Evelyn Navaille, Mrs.! Jeannie George Bennett and Mrs. Thais. Frances Cassou; and five sisters, Mrs. Lois Ard, Mrs. Irma Bolen, Mrs. Thais Knowles, Miss Nevette Gardebled and Mrs. Eula Lucia; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

funeral services will be held Monday for Nevette A. Gardebled, a retired Ujiited States Coast Guard warrant officer who died Wednesday nighl at Southern Baptist Hospital. He was 70.
Services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Monday at P.,I McMahon and Sons Fiiner.al Home, 4800 Canal St. Interment will follow at Cypress Grove Cemetery. 120 City Park Ave.
A native of Bay St. Louis, Miss.. Mr. Gardebled served as a building inspector in New Orleans following his retirement from the Coast Guard. He organized and served as first president of- the New Orleans District Coast Guard "Warrant Officers Association and was involved with other civic clubs including Delta React and the VHF and MTA Civil Defense Clubs.
He is survived by his wife. Mrs. Mary Hare Gardebled; one daughter. Miss Joan Elizabeth Gardebled; one son. Michael Hare Gardebled; four sisters. Mrs. Lois Ard, Mrs. Irma Bolen. Mrs. Thais Knowles and Mrs. Eula Lucia; and two grandchildren.

Relatives and friends, also members of the Eastern Star, Amaranth, White Shrine Organization, Square Dancers throught the city and members of Lakeview Baptist Church are invited to attend funeral services at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metatrie Cemetery), on Friday, December 18, 1992 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery. Visitation on Thursday, December 17, 7:30 PM-10:00 and on Friday, December 18, at 9:00 until service time. Rev.
