It is considered of interest to reproduce herein parts of two documents which furnished some of the tantalising clues fqr the research involved in compiling this record.
first, is exoerpt from a lengthy letter written by Felix W. Hagee, sr., to his son. Felix W, Hagee, Jr., On October 26, 1096, which vas published in the Oenea-logical Column of the Hamnond Sun as a contribution by this writer, and which supplied clues <to many who were engaged in researoh on Hagee lines. Information is that the original of this letter is presently in possession of Hrs. John W. Roth, 1936 Canterbury, Houston, Texast

1	send you the family record of my father Daniel Magoe and my mother Sally (Allen) Hngee and your grandfather William Dickson and Harriet (Catchlnga) Dickson, and my grandfather Oabrlel Allen and wife Anne McKinney, Jacob Hagee and wife Hary Scott, my grandfather and mother, and Oen. David Diokson his first wife's name unknown to me.

S.	C. and were one of the first settlers of Sampson Co., N. C., moved from there to Alabama and settled near Ft* St. Stevens moved from there to Hiss. Territory and settled on Amite River about the year 1810. Judging from the ages of their children, my grandfather and mother Jacob Hagee and Hary Scott wore born before 1760 and they had twelve ohildren, Henry, Bethany, Nohemiah, Daniel, John, Fleet, Ervin, Penlna, Hary, Sally, Jane, Elieabeth. Elizabeth married Barnabas Allen and they had two children, Elbert and Angelina. Henry married Nannie Hagee and they had three children, Chapnan, Havereon, and Hissant. Bethany married Isaac Fortenberry, some of their ohildren names, Wllllait, John, Ervin, Barbara, and others whose names I have forgotten. Nehemlah married Hartha Smith and had 5 children, Jacob, Phillip, Annie, Elieabeth, and Charles.
