Elizabeth Yarborough on October 27, 1874, as found in the book of marriages of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. The Hancock County Court records show they married on October 21, 1874. Mary was the daughter of William Yarborough and Mary Rebecca Fomea. While Charles Green and Mary E. Yarborough’s marriage record shows her mother’s name was “Mary Rebecca Forney” (Fomea), other records show her name was “Mary Ann Fomea,” and Mary Ann Fomea’s mother was Rebecca Clark. The Marion County, MS, marriage records show “William Yarbrough” married Mary Ann Fomea” on January 26, 1844.
Charles Green and family can be found in the 1900, 1910, 1920, and 1940 censuses of Hancock County, MS. Their daughters, Mary Ellen “Ling” Green Riggs, and Gertrude “Daisy” Green Coulon, gave us much of the information on this family in 1974. Charles and Mary E. Green had the following children:
A.	Oscar Andrew “Boy” Green - his headstone in Lakeshore cemetery
says he was bom in 1880, and died in 1935. He was bom on July 29, 1879, as found on his baptism record at Annunciation Church. His WWI Draft Registration says his middle name was “Andrew.” Oscar’s Death Certificate in LA, says he died on October 8, 1935, in Pearl River, LA. He lived in Lakeshore and St.
Tammany Parish, LA, and married twice. He married his first wife, Odelia Morrison on May 8, 1904, and later married Nellie V.
Stonicher in 1920.
By his first wife Oscar had:
1. Clarence Mary Green - he lived in Lakeshore and married twice. By his first wife, Elsie Benefield, he had: Clara, Betty Lou,
Oscar, and Jack. By his second wife, Lollie Schwartz, he had several more children.
2.	Clementine J. “Clemmie” Green — she married Jake Morreale, lived in Lakeshore, and had no children.
3.	Irene S. Green - she married Harry White, lived in Gulfport, MS, and had one daughter.
By his second wife, Oscar had:
4.	Elsie M. Green - she first married Tilton Hines, second to William O’Brien, and third to Robert Craig. She lived in Baltimore, MD, and had four children by Hines and one by O’Brien.
5.	Frances Rita Green - she married first to	Don Snider and second
to Emest Trader. She lived in Baltimore, MD and had children by Trader.
6.	Dorothy E. “Dot” Green - she married Otis Bounds	and lived in
Bay St. Louis with her family.
7.	George Green - he died at age two.
