School Days
School days, rule days, bright and golden
school days, reading and writing arithmetic
Taught by the tune of a hickory stick.
You were my barefoot bashful beau & lover
You Joe, when we were a couple of kids.
The 4th line, I should have put, you were my queen in calico, before what's there.
The Devils Ball
I had a dream last night, I dreamed that I was with the Devil, below in his great big fiery hall, where the Devil was giving a ball. Oh! I checked my coat and hat and started gazing at the merry crowd that came to witness the show. Oh! I must confess to you there were many there I knew. At the Devils hall, at the Devils ball. I saw the prettiest Mrs. Devil so pretty and fat, dancing with the Devil, Oh! you little Devil, dancing at the Devils ball. I should have put taking the tickets from the folks at the door, after pretty and fat.
This in only one verse. Composed back in 1911 1912.

So the next A.M.
