(as he was a minister) to a big meeting or to a funeral or anywhere like that, they'd take Graham to Mildred and Jay to keep and they loved that baby as if he was their own. And they had a store at that time and anything Graham wanted he got it. After he was older they even helped to buy him a car. She never had any children of her own. Oh yes, she had one lovely girl. She only has one grandson and he's a beautiful child. Jack Whitney married a girl by the name of Ida Ladivere. She was a school teacher and a "wonderful" person and from a "wonderful" family. She is now in a rest home and doesn't know her own daughter or grandchildren. She was such a lovely person. I thought the world of her. It' so sad to think how smart and intelligent she was and now to see her in that condition makes you want to cry. Jack and Ida had a beautiful little home at Bilacraw, close to Bay St. Louis, Miss. They were as happy as could be until they got sick and had to have a woman to come in and take care of them. Mrs. Ida's mind was beginning to get bad then so she resented anyone coming in and taking over.
