June 14 - 1990
This morning I woke up when I fell off from the bed. The first time in my 93 years that I remember of ever falling, but I knew it this A.M. around four o'clock when I went "bang" on the floor. They say once a man and twice a child. So I suppose that fits me as I've fallen many times but not from the bed. Thank the good Lord there were no bones broken. I thought for a few minutes my right hip was broke the fall was so hard. Della had to call Marie and Sandy to come and help me up. I believe if I could get on my knees I could get up, but I can't bare my weight on me knees on account of Arthritis. Bless Marie and Sandy. They didn't seem to mind at all. Since I'm back in my second childhood I might can help them some day. Every time I draw a breath my side hurts me. But why should I complain after God has been so good to me? Della has had a third degree burn on her arm just above her wrist. It looks a little better today but has been inflamed and looked bad.
Well, here's the good news, it's such a beautiful day. The trees, grass, flowers and just every thing that God has blessed us with is lovely. Praise His Blessed Name.
