this desire of my soul is granted to me. do my dear Andrew avoid the temptations and dissipations of camp life. you had pure principles when you left me, let nothing over come them for evil, let a noble exalted determined resolution to withstand predominate and may God my God strengthen you.
The last letter I recieved from Tennessee all were well, your Aunt Marion was disappointed in her anticipations of making money by taking boarders and is anxious again to live with me. she was a kind sister always to me, and if I have a home I can call my own, I shall be always happy to share with her. I suppose Andrew Adams and Samuel keep you pretty well posted up in Nashville news. do write soon let me know if we may hope to see you this fall. your Pa would like to consult with you and Samuel before he takes another step. do try to come. do you recieve any of my letters? did you recieve one written after our arrival here in the spring, discribing our journey? also one since? I fear you do not get all as you never have mentioned them? All join me in love to you. Pa wishes you would write to him?May God bless you Preserve and keep you from every evil, sorrow and sin. with love and kisses my beloved Son good bye?
