the baby was with them perfectly well, and last evening (Friday) we recieved an invitation to his funeral. he was taken with convulsions on Thursday evening and died on friday morning, to be buried to-day. another proof of the uncertainty of this life and the necessity and wisdom of making our peace with God while in health.
I have had a letter for you from our dear Andrew some time, but ever since yours, in which you wrote, that you would go to Kentucky, and then	immediately after	your return, would start	for
this place, I have	been looking	for you, and	concluded not to
send it up as it might possibly	miss	you. I	will therefore
enclose it to day.	better late	than	never.	I hope he will find
a letter from you at Fort Cobb upon his return there I have recieved one from him which I enclose also. I answered it to the Fort. when you write tell him I have written. Give my love and kisses to my darling ones up there. Sissie Johnnie, Sasie, Darling, Andrew, Marshal, and your own sweet self. I long to see you. the happiness of meeting you all, is the only true pleasure I anticipate in this dark gloomy world. I hope I shall have nothing to marr it?May the blessing of God rest upon, and abide with you all is the prayer of your own mother Good bye
