Nathaniel Ladner (Carlos Ladner) born May 4, 1828. Married Sarah Flrmaline Havens, Mar. 4, 1853. Sarah was born Apr. 24, 1839, and died June 1, 1930. They made their home at Van Cleave, MS..
X understand after Jeremiah Ladner was killed by Jay Halker's, Nathaniel went in pursuit of them. It was very bad weather and while crossinq Wolf River, in the sleet and rain he froze in the saddle.
When he reached home they had to cut him from the saddle. The exposure was to much for him, he developed pneumonia and died. He is buried in the little Cemetery at Van Cleave, near his old home place. He died Feb. 26< 1865.

26, 1866, Marion Co., MS. and died Oct. 15, 1955. Lenard was a farmer and stockman.
