Asenith Ladner (Carlos Ladner) born Oct. 3, 1841. She was tall, had long black hair and had black eyes. Conforming to the Ladner family trait. After finishing school, she tauqht school for some time. Asenith met and married J.W. Warden, this wedding took place at Bay St. Louis, MS., July 25, 1856. They had one daughter, Alice, her date of birth is unknown. Alice married John Cuevas.
They lived about twelve miles west from Springhill to the Hobochitta Creek. They had one son,(Johnnie Cuevas).
About 1890 Asenith and J.W. sold their place on Wolf River and moved to Louisana. Her brother Elijah tried to reason with them as to why they wanted to leave. J.W. said, and I quote "Elijah, it just don't rain here."
No other information on this family.
