THE HEART IS HOME
There are many roads to travel, but the one that leads me home
Is the one that I shall follow all the days that are to come.
Never straying right nor left, though temptations may persuade,
For my heart shall be atuned to home and a fair-haired, golden maid
Loving me with all your love, tender, true, forever mine,
Love unselfish, never failing, forever making light to shine.
Home, the place you love and where you wait so patiently.
My heart is where you are, and so 'twill ever be.
The place you love and call home will be home and love for me.
There my heart will be at peace, now and forevermore.
Never faltering, never failing, always with an open door.
There were many roads to travel, but the one that led me home
Is the one that I will follow all the days that are to come.
