HANCOCK COUf-'TY HISTORICAL SOCIETY P. O. BOX 1340 BAY ST. LOUIS, MS 39520
Dear Mrs. Faulk,	-?
Thank you for your letter. Your society has been most helpful to me. I appreciate this.
Am enclosing a chart. I am sorry to say my records are in such bad shape. Had planned to take a course being taught near here in this. A dear friend of mine has her only child very ill with leukemia at present and I could not take the time for the course. Hope they will teach it again when things are better.
I have enjoyed the films of the records of MY ST. LOUIS. Found my SONES owned the Swoop Home on South. Beach. Have been able to get a picture of this. I am eager-to visit ^our town again.
Have not researched WILEIAM GREEN MITCHELL line yet. New Orleans City Directory list his as .steamboat Capt. He and SARA SONES MITCHELL lived in New Orleans from ..about 1865. to 1900. Believe him to be from Miss.-Would appreciate any information you may ran into on this. Have pictures of him and his wife made in New Orleans.
Have read several old history books on Miss, and the War of 1812. Obtained war records and bounty land records on Henry Sones and Francis Barnes Lenior^rom Archives in Washington. Lenior was married to Naomi'-"" Sones and the Pjenrv is believed to bg	These records are very
interesting. Have sent copies of these to Mrs, Wainwright to share with the SONES FAMILY ASSOCIATION.
Thank you again for your help.
