Mr. Peter H. Riehlman remembers hearing that he had Riehlmann relatives that lived in New Orleans and Kentucky. Mr. Riehlman names the first child of Johann “Peter” Riehlmann and Philippina Catharina Becker/Beker as:
I. Peter Jacob Riehlmann - born on June 3, 1815 in Oberweiler, Germany. He immigrated to America in 1854 and settled in Otisco, NY, where he died on March 27, 1901. He married three times. We have more information on his family in our files should anyone need it. With the following generation, this line of the family started using only one “n” when spelling the name.
