was a drunk Alabama fan. I can tell this now, Judge, because the statute has run on it. He said, "I'll bet you and give you 14 points." I said, "How much you want to bet?" He said, "$100." I said, "I'll take it." I pulled out $100 and he pulled out a $100. We were 14 points. "You want to make it $200?"
I said, "Make it $200." I pulled out $100 and he pulled out $100. And he said, "Who's going to hold the money?" I said, "Well this gentleman right here seems to have an honest face. Let's let him hold the money. So we handed our money to -- well Ole Miss just started beating the stuffing out of them. By the second half he wanted to give me my money, and I said, "No." And I finally collected it, and sure enough, the judge didn't even charge a holding fee. Those were great times.
But I think the greatest thing about that humorous side of Judge Russell is, well my father stuttered. That's one of the reasons I learned to speak distinctly when I was just a little bitty kid. At the dinner table you didn't stammer or stutter. Anyway,
