SIDING JUSTICES
L. PRATHER F JUSTICE
I sincerely regret that I missed the dedication of Judge Dan Russell's portrait sponsored by the Hancock County Bar Association which was held on Law Day, May 1, 2000. I was invited to speech on Law Day at Columbus Air Force Base in Columbus, a commitment which I had already made prior to this announcement. Unfortunately, your letter was misplaced on my desk and I regret that I did not find it in time to reply for the dedication.
I wish to congratulate Judge Russell for his outstanding service to the Bench and Bar of the State of Mississippi and the recognition of his hometown people of his contribution to the law and judiciary by this presentation of his portrait to the Courthouse. It is an appropriate honor and well deserved as he exemplifies integrity, honesty and fairness, all traits of an outstanding jurist.
I extend to you and Judge Russell apologizes for failing to reply to your letter. I extend to Judge Russell my appreciation for his exemplary leadership to the judiciary and the many courtesies he has extended to me.
Sincerely,
Lenore L. Prather

Russel, Dan 081
