D.	Sarah Ann Stanford - bora in 1852 as taken from the 1860 Marion County Census. She is buried in the Bunker Hill cemetery in Marion County with a death date of April 14, 1896. She married Matthew J. Temple, and they had: Frances, John, Oscar, Robert, Thomas, Mattie, Frank, and Mike Temple.
E.	Allen Cassel “Carse” Stanford — bom May 29,1855, and died December 8, 1925, as taken from his headstone in the New Palestine cemetery in Picayune, MS. He lived most of his life in Washington Parish, LA. Carse’s son, John Stanford, told us that he married Nancy M. Walker, and they had . William Joseph “Joe”, Elizabeth Rebecca (incorrectly listed as “Martha A.” in the 1900 Marion County, MS census), Sarah Isabel, Florence C., John M., Ivy, and Mary Luella “Lou” or “Ella” Stanford.
At the request of Struther “Allen” Stanford, living in Traverse, Michigan, the following information is now given to correct a mistake made by some researchers regarding his grandmother, Sarah Isabel “Sally” Stanford. The following is based on information given by Allen Stanford, his daughter, Brooke Stanford, and a Miley relative that wishes to remain anonymous, and lives in Washington Parish, LA. This nice lady has done considerable research on the Mileys and Stanfords of Washington Parish. Her husband was a direct descendant of the below Isaac “Doc” Miley and she has lived in this small community for many years.
Allen Stanford has an old Bible once owned by his mother, Vivian C. Mayheu Stanford. The Bible has many names, dates, etc. Sarah Isabel Stanford is listed as bom on February 19, 1892 and died December 17,
1914. Also listed is Noel Pine Dexter Stanford, bom on April 17, 1911, a known son of Sarah I. Stanford.
Some researchers claim Sarah “Sally” Stanford married (or had a child by) Young Manson “Doc” Miley (1899 - 1964). Our Washington Parish, LA source says this is not correct because this “Doc” Miley married Ida Adams, lived in Washington Parish, and had: Velma, John, Howard, Willard, Richard, Artimeze, and Earlene Miley. She also said Noel or “Pine,” as he usually went by, was too old to be the son of this Doc Miley who was bom in 1899. She said the older family members rarely talked about this Sarah “Sally” Stanford, but she understood from one elderly family member that “there was a connection between Isaac “Doc” Miley and Sarah Sally Stanford,” but they would not explain what the connection was. Based on our own research, this Isaac “Doc” Miley was Sally’s uncle by marriage, the husband of Rebeca Ann “Annie” Stanford! With Isaac still married to Annie at the time, this was probably why the family was so “hush hush” about the matter. Our Washington Parish source also told us that Sarah died in a fire, presumably, a house fire.
Allen Stanford told us his father’s full name was Noel Pine Dexter Stanford and lived last in Washington Parish, LA. Following Allen’s grandmother’s death in a fire in Louisiana, Pine was raised by his aunt,
