PHOTOGRAPHER
As a self taught photographer, with a good eye for composition, L. J. GRIFFIN, beginning with a Kodak Instamatic and now working with a Pentax, has taken advanced studies through the New York School of Photography.
GRIFFIN shoots only color photographs with an emphasis in wildlife and has been doing so for the last 12 years. She finds her subjects on drives along Beach Boulevard and long drives through the country. Although GRIFFIN photographs children and successfully prepares portfolios for clients she will always return to the wildlife she loves.
L. J. GRIFFIN photographs can be found in many issues of LOUISIANA CONSERVATION, MISSISSIPPI OUTDOORS and OUTDOOR PHOTOGRAPHY. In 1988 she photographed a doe and baby which was recognized with a cash award and publication in OUTDOOR PHOTOGRAPHY, an international professional magazine.
Her wildlife photographs were featured in a summer exhibit at the University of New Orleans. This fall they will be exhibited at the Waveland, Mississippi Public Library. Locally her work may be seen at Halcyon House and the Magic Mirror, Bay Saint Louis.
