THE MERCHANTS BANK OF BAY ST. LOUIS was organized in 1903. with a capital of $2(1.000, which was increased to $30,000 in 1910. The surplus and undivided profits of this institution amount to $26,000 and it now has deposits of $275,000. The Bank’s home is one of the handsomest and most attractive of bank structures, constructed of pressed brick. The interior of the bank has tile floors, pressed steel ceiling, and the very latest of banking fixtures, safety deposit boxes for the convenience of patrons. The Merchants Bank is prominently identified with the American Bankers’ Association. and does a general commercial banking business, and is equipped to issue foreign exchange in any part of the world. Since organizing the bank has made unusual progress in building up a large line of depositors from all sections of the County.
