Division of Historic Sites and Archaeology Box 571
Jackson? Mississippi 39205 Dear Mr i* Allen:
We submit a newspaper article with a map of the Historic District of Bay St,4 Louis and description of historic sites prepared by Fred Wagner, Architects This particular area is showing significant commercial development which threatens the cultural heritage and visual character of the community2 It is our request thatthis district and sites be declared an Historic District by the Department of Archives and History and be protected under the regularions set forth by your department.-
We have another building which will be numbered 33 to be added to Fred Wagner*s list and which is located at 806 North Beach Boulevard, Bay St* Louis, to be included in the above request.
In addition to the above, a committee has worked up a partial list of buildings which are fifty years and older in this Historic District which is also enclosed,’
We trust that our request will be granted so that we may protect the District from commonplace buildings and inappropriate efforts and action?
Very truly yours,
