Dear M. Wockett;
In 197k I corresponded with you in regards to registering houses on the National Register, and again in 1976 your advice was most helpful in infcrr:-ing me on the survey programs for preservation.
I am most pleased to say that our Historical Society has now a committee surveying for the purpose of creating a historic district. We have at this time been in contact with the Dept, of Archives and History in Jackson and are working in cooper&ticn with their departmentc
I am asking for information from yon at this time in regards to a possible nlan to include in our survey and recomend bicycle trails in the network of the city* Bay St. Louie is a very small area, basically a tourist, summer resort and weekend residences of New Orleans people. There is a great ne^d for street improvement but from a energy saving viewpoint I would like to know more about bicycle trails within/ a city plan. Sore of our streets are very narrow, formerly trails, and the road that runs parallel to the beach front now is two lanes, but has room for another lane. We are vary much interested in any information of waterfront areas who r.ay have included bicycle trails for resident transportation, to and from school, shopping areas, and week-end vacations.
Also we are about to amend our constitution and by-laws, do vo.ii have a

recommended guide that we could use for a guideline?
Any information that would be helpful to use for publicity on Treating Historic Districts, would be most appreciated. We have a city structure which we feel in going to be very energetic on imr.rovensntp and we would like to be able to coordinate this with our nr reservation plans, and need to accomplish a good deal of work in a very short tine0
Your assistance is appreciated as I previously have staged*
