IMPORTANT NOTICE PERTAINING TO SPOT ZONING IN THE CITY OF BAY ST. LOUIS
THE pfafcPERTY OWNERS IN THE IMMEDIATE VICINITY OF .132 SYCAMORE STREET ARE CONCERNED ABOUT A SPECIAL USE PERMIT FILED BY MR. MAURICE MI'.RCA DEL. TUTS PERMIT IS TO CONVERT THE OLD GLOBE LAUNDRY INTO A RESTAURANT.
THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION, AT LAST TUESDAY'S MEETING (OCTOBER 26tli) , APPROVED THIS PERMIT OVER THE OBJECTIONS OF 90% OF THE PEOPLE PRESENT. THE .CITY COUNCIL WILL NOW MAKE THE FINAL DECISION ON ISSUING THIS PERMIT.
WHILE THE IDEA OF HAVING A RESTAURANT IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD IS NOT REALLY ACCEPTABLE, THE MAJOR CONCERN IS THAT ONCE SPOT ZONING HAS BEEN GRANTED, FUTURE ZONING COULD LEAD TO THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AND THE ISSUANCE OF A LIQUOR LICENSE.
AS A SMALL GROUP OF CITIZENS, WE TRIED TO FIGHT THTS SPOT ZONING BY.OURSELVES,
TO NO AVAIL. WE ARE NOW APPEALING TO ALL PROPERTY OWNERS IN THE BEACH AREA TO COME TO OUR AID.
YOU WILL BE CONTACTED SHORTLY TO SIGN A PETITION PROTESTING AGAINST ANY CHANGE IN THE PRESENT ZONING	OF	THE SUBJECT PROPERTY.
IN ADDITION, PLEASE CALL	ANY OF THE BELOW	COUNCILMEN, THAT YOU KNOW,	AND VOICE
YOUR OBJECTION TO THIS ZONING CHANGE.
MR. GENE TAYLOR	467-2609	MR.	SHELDON SEUZENEAU	467-4698
MR. JAMES THRIFFILEY	467-4138	MR.	WILMER SEYMOUR	467-6049
MR. HARRY FARVF.	467-2625
