The next morning he drove back out and they spend the day sitting around and talking. Surprisingly they spoke very good English. All of their kin gathered as the evening wore on. Last to arrive was the niece that come to the US. Her name was Kim and she was late because she lived in the city. Fred was stunned. She was the spitting image of Cheryl. Fred was troubled by the resemblance.
Back in the hotel Fred felt so lonely. He had lived his entire life alone but now he realized something was missing. He got Kin?s phone number and then called and asked if she would meet him for a drink. She said yes and that she would meet him in the lobby in a half hour.
They sat around talking for the longest and he asked if she would meet him for dinner the next evening. She said yes and the next evening they once again talked for hours. The next day he told Papa and Mama he was seeing Kin and they said that was wonderful.
It was only a few days left before Fred was to return to the US. He and Kin were having dinner when Kim began to talk about her trip to the states. She had been working with the city on some ancient computers given by the Russians and she was selected to be one of the first to go to California for training by IBM.
The classes were held in Los Angeles and IBM expected more sales to China they were treated like royalty. They went to Disney Land, the beach and many other places.
