He was five years old when his father moved with his family in 1718 from Weymduth to Canterbury, and he probabjy lived in Canterbury the rest of his life. The records of tl* Congregational Church show that he owned the covenant there' on 11 Nov. 1739, and that his wife, Susannah Carver, wat dismissed from that church to Rev. John Palmer?s church in Scotland, Conn., on 6 Dec. 1792.
