of the Diocese of Mississipi. The Parish derived its name, Three Rivers Pari from the three principle rivers forming its boundaries, ie: Wolf River, Joui dan River and Pearl River. The first priest assigned by the Diocese Office a Natchez, Mississippi was Father Stanislas Buteux.
Although I have never found a record of the marriage of MARY OLIANA CARVER and a JOHN MELOTTE, I believe this to be true. They had a child baptised as their legitimate child, at OLG and this record is:
"JEAN BAPTISTE MICHEL MELOTTE, born July 19, 1867 baptised Aug. 8, 1869, son of John Melotte and Oliana Carver. Godfather: Leon Carver Godmother: Irma Michel."

I also find the following record of an apparent second marriage:
"ROBERT MULLER, son of Harry and Mrs. Muller, married June 5, 1887, MARY OLIANA CARVER, daughter of James Carver and Irma Guery. Witnesses: William Colson and Margaret Dambrenis." (OLG MB 1 p 185 A 516)

"LEONTINE CARVER, born Jan. 13, 1850 baptised March 24, 1850, daughter of James Carver and Marie Irma Sherry (Guery). Godfather: Valery Bourgeois Godmother: Louise Philomene Sherry (Guery)."

1928 and is buried in the Bayou Caddy Cemetery. His record of
baptism is as follows:
"DELMAS CAMILLE CARVER, born July 5, 1853 baptised August
7,	1854, son of James Carver and Irma Luc Guery. Godfather: Edmond Nicaise Godmother: Mrs. R. Osley."

Leo Carver and Mary Magdeleine Ploux."
