record ID 75677515, Find a Grave, http://www.findagrave.com. Marguerite Favre (KHB2-T78) (1812-1909): Notes
Title: Her place of birth
In the 1900 census of Pearlington, MS, she states that she was born in Mississippi.
Title: Her husband
Some researchers state her husband was James Alphonso "Moses" Murphy of South Carolina, with an additional wife, and more children. They offered few sources, and I assume this person is not the James Murphy that married Marguerite Favre. In the censuses of Hancock County, MS, his children state that their parents were born in "Mississippi." This James Alphonso "Moses" Murphy was married to Mary J. Gibson in South Carolina and were having children as late as 1849. Our James Murphy is listed in the 1840 Hancock Co., MS census with a wife and children! We know his oldest child was James M. Murphy, born in Hancock County, MS in 1835. I feel comfortable in saying that James Murphy in Hancock County, MS is a different person than the James Alphonso "Moses" Murphy living in South Carolina. On Oct. 15, 2017, I contacted the submitter of James Alphonso "Moses” Murphy information, Leon Edward Hauck. He entered this information as a volunteer for the LDS and is not related to this family and could have made a mistake. He said to remove the information if I wish.

Title: Her death
Research by a descendant, Jim Davis, shows her death on Feb. 6, 1908. Her obit, in the Biloxi Daily Herald was dated Feb. 13, 1909, and says she died on Feb. 7, 1909.
