Title: Birth and death dates
Birth and death dates taken from his headstone in Pearlington cemetery. Louisa Eucharist Favre (K87H-V4N) (1809-1881): Notes_______________________
Title: Her birth
See her death certificate scanned into the Memories section of her page above, where she is listed as a "Native of Mobile, Ala." I suspect the person who filled in this certificate was probably wrong. She was born between 2 sibling --Onezan and Marguerite -- who we know were born in Pearlington. Then in the 1850 Hancock County, MS census,
Beat 1, house #163-169, is Louisa Armstrong, age 40, born in "Louisiana." Perhaps she was born in Louisiana, but she was not bom in Mobile, AL. Perhaps her mother was visiting in New Orleans, as they often did, and Louisa was born during one of those visits. Additionally, the fact that she was baptized at St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans, indicates that she was not living near Mobile at that time. Until we find something more specific, I will identify her place of birth as "Louisiana."
