THE QUESTION
"Is there room in Your house for me?? I asked my Lord one day.
?The road has been rough and I did stumble and fall many times along the way.?
?In my Father?s house are many mansions.? The answer came loud, clear.
The Spring and Summer of life have passed; The Fall is here and Winter doth blow
Its cold wind occassionally near my face.
I know that time is closing but not just yet.
There is still much to do; it seems so little done, so little time;
So many battles waged?but all cannot be won.
Rest now is easier, and beautiful is my life in Christ.
Never before has there been room nor love in anothers house for me.
But now?I will not be afraid nor need to speak timidly,
"Is there room in your house for me?? I asked my Lord one day.
The Answer?"In my Fathers house are many mansions. If it had not been so, I would have told you.?
ANNE
Anne is the name of my little girl,
A heaven-sent blessing for all.
Her twinkling blue eyes with softness of pearl And long bronze hair steaked with gold.
As I watch her grow from a babe-in-arms.
To a sure-footed lass of two
Dependent independence with a beguiling smile And bright bubbling laughter forever new.
I would lift her up then to my own height
Wondrously marveling at how perfect she grew,
While soft little arms came close-circle around my neck A shy voice would whisper, "I love you.?
She is older now, full of poise and grace
A Princess is she with brushed-golden hair,
Sparkling blue eyes, and full of face,
A spring in her step, a song so fair.
When she is full-grown what a joy it will be To watch her and know how very much
This child of mine means to me,
This fair child the angels did touch.
